Echtra Games is a game studio based in San Francisco that is developing Torchlight Frontiers. It was founded in 2016 by Max Schaefer, who was also one of the founders of Runic Games, the studio behind previous games of the Torchlight series.
The team is primarily composed of individuals that worked on Diablo I, Diablo II, and the original Torchlight (mostly from the former).[1]
